Who I Am and What I Do

My Journey

I was born and raised in the beautiful village of Brienz/Switzerland where I spent a very happy early childhood. Through adolescence I started to struggle a bit with my growing and developing body and it was the time when my search began to fill up the gap I felt inside. After being trained in a Pharmacy/Health food store for three years where I learned a lot about healthy nutrition, I continued to study and became a social worker. I got work experience in a Rehab. and Therapy Center for drug addicts and later trained as a counselor for women with focus on relationship, marriage and divorce. I loved to study psychology, sociology, philosophy etc. but it felt like something important was still missing.

When I came in contact with Reiki I immediately knew I was coming home. It felt like I had finally found that one missing piece I was always looking for. I was completely hooked and I wanted to experience more of that sweetness. Reiki took me through a gentle process of unveiling everything that is not true. It made me look at all the beliefs and judgements I hold onto. Most of these conditionings I wasn’t even aware of before! Although at Social Work School self-reflection was our daily bread! It was like a slow dawning that took place over years. Identification with feelings and thoughts came off, one after the other. It was a very natural process of revelation that happened by itself and I was eager to take part. The beauty of Reiki is that it doesn’t need any words or concepts. It’s like a key that unlocks the heart by surpassing the mind. At a certain point in this process I was finally ready to listen to the beautiful teachings of Eckhart Tolle (I knew about him for a ages but I had too much resistance to read his books), Byron Katie and Mooji who helped extremely to understand and deepen what I was going through. Their teachings completely resonate within me and confirm what is true.
I like to share Reiki because I experienced its transformational power! I am so grateful for everything that happened for me!
I am married to a scientist and because of his career we have moved quite a bit. We lived in Switzerland, California USA, and Massachusetts USA and are currently living in Reading UK. We have three children.
